POKOTABI / Campbelltoun Loch
Campbelltoun Loch キャンベルタウン・ロッホ
Tucked underground near Yurakucho Station, Campbelltoun Loch is a counter-only whisky bar offering an extensive selection of official releases, independent bottlings, and vintage spirits served by the half-shot.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Down a flight of basement stairs lies a hushed, intimate space comprised of little more than a modest counter and shelves packed tightly with bottles. Situated in a corner of Yurakucho, Campbelltoun Loch has long earned the quiet devotion of malt enthusiasts. With seating limited to roughly 7 to 9 counter stools, the setting is remarkably compact, keeping every patron's focus trained squarely on the array of whiskies lining the back bar.
The venue's greatest draw is its sweeping collection: official distillery releases stand alongside independent bottlings, scarce expressions from silent distilleries, and dust-covered vintage bottlings that have aged across the decades. Because even hard-to-find labels can be ordered by the half-shot, visitors can easily compare nuances across different expressions. Telling the master bartender your preferred flavour profile or a vintage you have been curious about, then deciding together on that evening's pour, is one of the distinct pleasures of sitting at this counter.
Doors are open from 17:00 in the evening until 24:00 at night, making it well-suited for nights when you want to take your time over a thoughtful dram. Given the tight counter footprint, travelling light will make your stay considerably more comfortable. Payment is strictly cash only, so be sure to stop by an ATM before heading down.
